Varsity staff convicted in bribery case
Hyderabad, Nov 21 (UNI) The Special Judge for Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Vijayawada today convicted the Junior Assistant to the Controller of Examinations in Nagarjuna Univeristy in a bribery case.
He was sentenced to undergo one year rigorous imrpisonment and pay a fine of Rs 2,500.
N Subba Rao was trapped by the ACB officials when he accepted Rs 400 as bribe from the complainant on November 11, 2001, an ACB press release said here.
