Two involved in Meghalaya child kidnapping held

Imphal, Nov 21 (UNI) Two persons allegedly involved in kidnapping two pre-school kids of Shillong, Meghayala, in August, were nabbed by a team of CID(Crime Branch) of Shillong police and Imphal West police.

Police said the two persons were found yesterday at Moirang Kampu Awang Leikai, Imphal East.

Police identified them as Raju Biswas(24) and Chandra Prakash(26). Both hailed from Shillong. They were being interrogated.

The duo had abducted Noel(4) and Harsh (4) for ransom. Police said the fate of the two children was not yet known.
