Two arrested for accommodating Pak terrorist

Kozhikode, Nov 21 (UNI) Police today arrested two persons, including a women, for allegedly providing shelter to a Pakistani terrorist here a few months ago.

Crime Detachment Assistant Commissioner V Chandran said Kammad Haji (60) and Fathima Begum (30) were nabbed for sheltering their relative, an Al Badr terrorist, Mohammad Fahad at their residence for about 45 days.

According to the Foreigners Act, arrival of foreigners to a particular household was required to be notified with the concerned authorities but the accused had failed to do so, he added.

They were later remanded to police custody till December 4 by a local court here.

Five persons, including two cops, were also arrested and remanded to police custody till December 4 for allegedly helping Fahad to get an Indian passport.

Fahad, alongwith another suspected terrorist, was arrested in Mysore on October 26 while plotting an attack on Vidhana Soudha building in Bangalore.
