Three held for selling fake tiger skin

Chennai, Nov 21 (UNI) Police today arrested three people for allegedly possessing tiger skin at Kavinger in north Chennai.

Police said the gang allegedly cheated a local by selling the tiger skin for Rs 1000. When the person found that the tiger skin was not genuine. he lodged a complaint with the police.

Police arrested Rathinakumar, Balamurugan of Villivakkam and Manivel of Ayanpuram in this connection and seized the fake tiger skin.

Based on the information, the police were in a look out for two of their associates, who were also believed to be in posssession of some more pieces of tiger skin, police added.
