Select metal prices rise on good industrial demand
Mumbai, Nov 21 (UNI) Select metal prices rose on good industrial demand while London Metal Exchange remained steady, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In the ferrous category, copper utensils rose by Rs 100 per quintal on improved demand.
In the non-ferrous section, copper wire bars and zinc slab hiked by Rs 600 and Rs 100 per quintal, respectively, on better buying support.
Tin slab fell by Rs two per kg on poor demand.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 34,500, copper utensils - Rs 30,600, brass utensils - Rs 21,800, brass cuttings - Rs 25,300 and aluminium utensils - Rs 10,800.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 37,100, aluminium ingots - Rs 13,700, zinc slab - Rs 22,600, lead ingots - Rs 7,600, tin slab - Rs 575 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,740 (per kg).
