PM to visit Japan from December 13-16

New Delhi, Nov 21: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will pay an official visit to Japan from December 13 to 16 at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will be received by Their Majesties, The Emperor and Empress of Japan.

The Prime Minister will hold discussions with Mr Abe on various bilateral, regional and international issues.

''The visit is expected to further strengthen the India-Japan Global Partnership that was imparted new strategic orientation during the visit of the then Prime Minister of Japan, Mr.Junichiro Kozumi, to India in April 2005,'' an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said today.
