Police register case against State Information Commissioner
Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 21 (UNI) Police today registered a case against Andhra Pradesh Information Commissioner K Sudhakar Rao based on a complaint from the Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) that the Commissioner was transporting money and cricket gear to distribute it to voters for the December four by-poll to Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat.
Speaking to newspersons here, Karimnagar Deputy Superintendent of Police Mogilaiah said the Lower Maneru Dam Police booked a case against the State Information Commissioner and had arrested his drivers Tirumala Rao and Narasaisah.
The TRS acivists led by TRS MLA and Former Minister Harish Rao waylaid a Van, which transported cricket gears and Rs five lakh cash from Hyderabad to Karim Nagar last night and handed over the drivers of the Van to the police, he added.
