Police lob tear-gas shells to quell mob
Ahmedabad, Nov 21 (UNI) A stone-pelting mob went on the rampage in the sensitive Gomtipur area of the city last night, indulging in heavy stone pelting, police said today.
Police lobbed tear-gas shells to disperse the mob of 200 people.
The incident took place when police asked some people to move away from crowding the street. This led to an altercation and soon the mob started pelting stones.
Two persons, Mohdrahim Ghulam Rasool Sheikh and Moindin Nizamuddin Sayyed, have been arrested in this connection.
