Mother of two delivers quadruplets, but two die

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu Nov 21 (UNI) A woman, who was already mother of two, delivered quadruplets, but two of them died in a local hospital here.

Hospital sources said the woman, Indirani(35), a resident of Ariyalur here, was admitted to the hospital for delivery. Of the four babies she delivered, two were male and two female. All the babies were underweight.

However, a female child weighing half kg was born-dead, while another female baby weighing one kg died yesterday. The weight of the male babies was 1.10 kg and 1.35 kg.

Indirani already had two female children, aged four and six, the sources added.
