Mixed trend on Bullion Exchange
Mumbai, Nov 21 (UNI) A mixed trend was seen on the Bombay Bullion Exchange today with the white metal declining by Rs 15 on thin buying support even as Gold rose by Rs 10 on reduced stock supply.
Spot Silver .999 fineness variety opened low at Rs 19,26 per kg on good demand. Later, it improved slightly and closed at Rs 19,275 per kg, with a loss of Rs 15 from yesterday's close.
In London, the white metal was quoted low at USD 12.82/12.92 per troy ounce against USD 12.85/12.95 per troy ounce in New York.
However, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened steady at Rs 9,110 and Rs 9,155 per ten gram, respectively.
The yellow metal rose slightly and closed at Rs 9,115 and Rs 9,165 with a gain of Rs five for standard gold and Rs 10 for pure gold from its previous close.
In London, the yellow metal went up at USD 623.70/626.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 622/624 per troy ounce at New York on Monday.
Following are the spot silver and gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade : Rs 19,275 (19,290) Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity : Rs 9,115 (9,110) Pure Gold 99.9 purity : Rs 9,165 (9,155).
