Man gets 10 years for raping minor Dalit girl

Bikaner, Nov 21 (UNI) A city court here sentenced a men to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for raping a Dalit minor.

The special court's Judge Om Prakash sentenced Tuk Singh to 10 years jail and fined him 10,000 rupees as penalty for raping a 13-year-old Dalit girl.

The accused hails from Jhamu village in Kolayat tehsil. According to police, on June 23, the girl's father Durgaram lodged a complaint that his two minor daughters and a niece had gone to collect firewood. After sometime, his youngest daughter and his niece came back crying and told them that a man had raped their sister.

Durgaram went to the site and caught hold of the alleged rapist and handed him over to the police.In the FIR lodged, Durgaram said Tuk Singh raped his minor daughter.
