Lawyer abducted in Jaunpur

Jaunpur, Nov 21 (UNI) An advocate was abducted by unidentified miscreants in Jaunpur district late last night, police today said.

The incident occured near 'Shervan Bazar', where a lawyer Vednath Shukla (35) was kidnapped by unidentified miscreants, while he was returning to his village Babhnauli vllage from the court, police added.

Irked over the incident, lawyers boycotted the work today. Later, a delegation of advocates headed by President of the Civil Bar Association Chamapati Shukla sent a memmorandum to Superintendent of Police M D Karndhar and demanded quick release of their colleague Ved from the jaws of the accused.

Meanwhile, two persons were arrested and interrogation is on.
