Temporary police training schools to be set up: ADGP
Bangalore, Nov 21: In view of inadequate training facilities to train newly recruited policemen, Karantaka government would soon open temporary training schools in the districts, Additional Director General of Police D V Guruprasad said today.
Speaking to newspersons here he said the appointment of 4317 police constables would be completed by December this year. The results of the written test, for which 2.05 lakh candidates had attended, would be out in two days, he said.
He said the police department had been appreciated for following transparent selection procedure for which ISO 9000 status was accorded to it. Recently, it had completed selections for 368 sub-inspector's posts. Filling up of an additional 1000 constables' vacancies would be done soon, he said.
Earlier, speaking after inaugurating the District Police Sports meet, he asked the policemen to develop close contacts with the common people to get better information of terrorist movements and activities which was on the rise in the recent times.
