I never change my leader, prinicple, party, statement: Rawat

Dehradun, Nov 21 (UNI) Uttarakhand Congress Committee President Harish Rawat clarified that he always sticks to his priciple, party and his statements.

Mr Rawat was replying to the query of media persons here today pertaining to the leadership in the forthcoming assembly election in the state due early next year.

Replying to the questions volleyed in the backdrop of Uttarakhand-in-charge Motilal Vohra's statement that the election would be fought under the leadership of Chief Minister N D Tiwari, Mr Rawat said ''I never change my leader, principle, party or statements. For me Sonia Gandhi is the leader and would comply to her orders''.

However, he maintained that he did not differ from Mr Vohra's opinion.

Apprising about the election preparation Mr Rawat said that importance would be given more to the grassroot level party workers.

He said that election-in-charges have been nominated in 12 districts and four zones and separate in-charges in all the 70 constituencies would be identified who would work as election coordinators.

Mr Rawat said that more stress would be given to woo the voters who would practice their franchise for the first time.
