HC permits TDB to proceed with interviews

Kochi, Nov 21 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today permitted Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) to proceed with proposed interviews to various posts and said appointments should be made as per its orders.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice V K Bali and Justice S Siri Jagan today permitted the TDB to go ahead with interviews to the post of Lower Division Clerk cum Sub Group Officer group-II in TDB.

Devaswom Secretary G Syamaladevi in her affidavit said the Board had taken all necessary steps with regard to the appointments.

Counsel appearing for the Board yesterday, on a petition seeking a direction to the state government to initiate criminal prosecution against the TDB President and members for alleged corruption, had pleaded before the court to defer interview scheduled for November 22 and and 23 to a future date.

The secretary in her affidavit today submitted that it was a mistake committed by the counsel.
