JK: Grenade attack in Surankote

Jammu, Nov 21: Some unidentified persons today hurled a grenade in the PWD quarters at Surankote in Poonch district, where surrendered militants working for Jammu and Kashmir police were putting up, police said.

However, no one was hurt in the attack, police said.

According to police, some unidentified attackers lobbed a grenade into the quarters premises which exploded outside the quarters of Class IV employees Irshad Ahamed and Noor Ahemad, a surrendered Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant.

Police were investigating the matter.
