Panaji, Nov 21 (UNI) Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in co-ordination with the Film and Television Producers Guild of India is organising a two-day 'India-The Big Picture' conference from tomorrow.

The two day conference is being held as part of the 37th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which begins here from November 23.

The conference is envisioned to provide direction for catalysing growth of Indian filmed entertainment space. It is to create content with a wider audience appeal, analysing challenges related to communications in an increasingly cluttered market place, understanding the mechanics and benefits of marketing Indian films to domestic and international audiences, a CII release issued here today said.

''India's emergence as a global economic power continue to draw attention from international business community. Not only is India's economy exciting, the film entertainment space is growing strong,'' said Chairman of the CII National Entertainment Committee Bobby Bedi.

Leading international and domestic speakers will be speaking at the conference. The discussions highlights of the conference would focus on film marketing,home entertainment, new revenue streams, digital cinema, and new technologies of movie making. Through a lively series of keynote addresses, panel debates and analysis, leading national and international speakers will explore opportunities and initiatives to overcome significant challenges facing the Indian film industry, the release added.

The overseas speakers at the conference include CEO, Silicon Image,USA Steve Tirado, Head of Kuwait National Cinema Co, Hisham Alghanim, Senior Vice President and Regional Director of Asia Pacific Region Motion Pictures Association Mike Ellis, Xavier Merlin from France, Clare Wise of UK Film Council to name a few.

Prominent Indian speakers at the conference include Chairman of CII National Entertainment Committee Bobby Bedi, MD Adlabs Manmohan Shetty, producers -Boney Kapoor, Shailendra Singh, Uday Singh who is the MD of Sony Pictures Entertainment (India), CMD of Exim Bank T C Venkat Subramaniam, GM of IDBI Bank Aoke Dasgupta, CEO Indiagames Vishal Gondal among others, the release added.
