Four security personnel injured in road mishap

Agartala, Nov 21 (UNI) Four security personnel of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's pilot car were injured in a road accident last night on the NH 44 under Teliamura Police Station in Tripura's West District.

The accident occurred following when their vehicle's breaks failed while taking a turn at Mungiabari area on the NH 44 and the pilot car escorting Chief Minister fell into a george injuring four Tripura Special Armed Force personnel, police said today.

The Chief Minister was going to Dhalai District Headquarters of Ambassa to attend a programme. All the injured were shifted to G B hospital here after being rescued by fire brigade personnel.

Mr Sarkar, after taking information about the condition of the security personnel, proceeded for his destination, police said.
