4 security personnel injured in road accident
Agartala, Nov 21: At least four security personnel of Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's pilot car were injured in a road accident last night on the NH-44 under Teliamura police station in the state's west district.
The accident occurred when the car's brakes failed while taking a turn at Mungiabari area on the NH-44 the pilot car escorting the chief minister fell into a george injuring four Tripura Special Armed Force personnel, police said today.
The chief minister was going to Dhalai district headquarters of Ambassa to attend a programme. The injured were shifted to G B hospital here after being rescued by fire brigade personnel.
Mr Sarkar, after receiving information about the condition of the security personnel, proceeded for his destination, police said.
