Four persons granted anticipatory bail

Mumbai, Nov 21 (UNI) A local court today granted anticipatory bail to four persons in connection with a case filed against them by Sify Ltd, pertaining to the broadcasting rights of the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week, held in the city, between October 31 and November 4.

Additional Sessions Judge M L Tahilyani granted anticipatory bail to Kavita Dadhe, a former employee of Sify, Parbir Saha, Niyati Shah and Jahanbe Borah of Yahoo.

The Court also ruled that in case of their arrest they shall be released on a bond of Rs 5,000, their passport should be surrendered till filing of chargesheet and they be required to report at the Marine Drive police station for ten days.

According to a complaint filed by Manoj Mane of Sify, the company has the broadcasting rights of the recently-concluded Lakme Fashion Week.

The company alleged that Dadhe, along with Saha, Shah and Borah, had forged the passes and photographed the event, thereby committing a criminal breach of trust.
