Five day film bazaar from nov 24 at IFFI Goa
Panaji, Nov 21 (UNI) A five day Film Bazaar coinciding with the 37th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will begin at the Kala Academy lawns were from November 24.
The Film Bazaar is positioned as an ideal networking platform where participants can showcase and promote their services, products, explore new business opportunities and partnerships.
New elements this year include buyer-seller lounge, independent filmmakers lounge, location lounge and a script writing workshop.
The bazaar will have ten stalls and networking lounges. Apart from the buyer seller lounge, the independent filmmakers lounge will provide for separate space for the independent filmmakers. The location lounge will have states with strong film tourism properties to pitch in for shooting locales, according to a press release issued here today.
Apart from the networking lounges, the bazaar will have ten stalls. Companies who will participate in the Film Bazaar include Prasad Group, NFDC, Hyderabad-based Digiquest, Indian Film Exporters Association, Films division, Chennai-based Golden Square films, South Indian Film Exporters Association, Children's Film Society of India, Ramesh Deo Productions (promoting their Marathi movie) and Kolkata- based Madhushree creations.
The film bazaar also provides business opportunities to production houses, technology companies and those providing services in the entire value chain of business process of movie making. Parallel to the bazaar, a series of seminars and workshops will be organized focusing on co-production treaties,interactions with global sales agents and scripting, the release said.
Film Bazaar is not just a trading area to buy or sell a finished product. It will provide a great opportunity to discuss ideas, scripts and semi-developed projects. Some of the principal corporate financing firms and banks will be present to evaluate the projects.
It will also open up new opportunities for co-producing future film projects, the release added.
