Ex-hospital staff convicted for corruption
Hyderabad, Nov 21 (UNI) The Special Judge for Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Cases today convicted former officials of the government-owned Indian Medicine and Homeopathy Hospital for irregularities in the purchase of air-conditioners and sentenced them to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment and pay a fine of Rs 1,000.
Retired Chief Superintendent of Hospital K Narasimha Reddy, Superintendent Mohd Shariff, Former Accounts Officers M A Karim and S Malakondaiah Aruva Gangulu and Former Superintendent of Budget Section Anwar Ahmed were convicted.
An ACB release here said they committed irregularities in collusion with the private persons while buying the air-conditioner at an exorbitant price.
