Engineer shot dead; student hanged to death in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 21 (UNI) A Junior Engineer was shot dead while a student of Kashmir University was hanged to death in the Kashmir valley, official sources said today.

An unidentified gunmen shot dead a Junior Engineer Bashir Ahmad Tantray at Pattan in north Kashmir district of Baramulla today, official sources said.

A Kashmir university student Mohammad Yousuf Dar alias Sahib was hanged to death by militants in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.

Yousuf was kidnapped by militants alongwith his father Ghulam Mohiuddin Dar, a retired Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, from their house at village Amlar, in Pulwama on November 19.

However, his father was let off by the militants unharmed.
