DCO caught by Vigilance sleuths for taking bribe

Sahebganj, Nov 21 (UNI) Vigilance department sleuths today nabbed the District Co-operative Officer (DCO) of Sahebganj red handed while taking a bribe.

DCO Baleshwar Ram, who was also in additional charge of Pakur, was caught from his residence here while illegaly taking Rs 2000 from a person to issue water tax papers.

Deputy Suprintendent of Police (vigilance) Harinarayan Mohli said the action was taken on a complain lodged by one Jaddu Singh last week.

A case under prevention of corruption act had been registered against the official, he said.
