BJP asks partymen to gear up for 2008 polls
Bhopal, Nov 21 (UNI) BJP general secretary Anant Kumar today asked party workers to gear up for ''Mission 2008'' to ensure a second-term for the party in the state.
Addressing a party meeting after Mr Narendra Singh Tomar was elected as the next state BJP president, Mr Kumar, who is also state BJP in charge, exhorted the workers to set an example by returning to the party power showing that the BJP could form governments in other states and the Centre.
He asked them to be fully prepared to face the challenge for the Pandhana Assembly by-elections and the coming Assembly by-elections in Udaypura and replicate the victory secured in the Vidisha Lok Sabha and the Malehra Assembly by-elections.
Pointing out that the party had won in eight out of 12 civic bodies polls as well as in the Bhagalpur Lok Sabha by-elections, he expressed the hope that the party will continue its winning streak in the coming Punjab, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
