Annapoorna hotels chairman passes away

Coimbatore, Nov 21 (UNI) Dhamodharaswamy, Chairman of Sri Annapoorna Gowrishankar Hotels (P) Ltd and honorary President of Tamil Nadu Hotels Association (THA), died of heart attack at his residence here early today.

He was 80. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Family sources said he suffered a massive cardiac arrest in the early hours and died on way to hospital. The funeral will take place at his native village near here this evening, the sources said.

Also former President of THA, Mr Dhamodharaswamy was conferred honorary doctorate by the Avinashilingam Deemed University for his contributions to the society. After successfuly launching the Annapoorna chain of hotels, he was involved in spiritual activities.

In a message in Chennai, THA President, M Ravi conveyed his condolences to bereaved family members.
