Yediyurappa asks BJP workers to work for JD(S) candidate
Mysore, Nov 20 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader B S Yediyurappa today called upon the party workers to strive hard for the victory of BJP-backed Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Shivabasappa in the December four Chamundeshwari Assembly bypoll.
Addressing the BJP party workers meeting here, he said that after agreeing to field a consensus candidate with the coalition partner, it was the responsibility of the BJP to ensure his victory.
Mr Yediyurappa predicted that after the byelection, the Congress would lose its strength further in the State.
He would begin his election campaign in the constituency after November 24.
