Trader murdered

Samastipur, Nov 20 (UNI)A prominent trader Ramesh Rai alias Ramu Rai was killed by some unidentified criminals near Malgodam chowk under town police station area here late last night.

According to police the criminals attacked Mr Rai and strangulated him to death when he was on way to a shop. An irate mob had blocked the road in protest against the killing.

The blockade was lifted following assurances by Police Superintendent Sushil Kumar.
