STFCL launches direct contact campaign

Hyderabad, Nov 20 (UNI) Targeting about Rs 20,000-crore business over the next four years, Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited (STFCL)company here today launched its 'Direct Contact Campaign' reaching out to truck owners' community in South India.

The event would be hosted by veteran actor and BJP MP Dharmendra who had been recently appointed as its Brand Ambassador. Almost 300 truck owners and their families would be attending.

A series of similar events were being planned in Lucknow, Mumbai and Kolkata in the coming months as a part of the its efforts to build direct contact with small truck owners, Shriram Group Chairman K Thyagarajan told the media here.

The company which at present had an asset base of Rs 9,000 crore spread over five lakh small truck owners planned to upscale its reach to garner 20 per cent business in the segment.

STFCL Managing Director R Sridhar said the company had charted out an ambitious growth plan for the current year to retain its leadership position in the NBFC segment.

To be supported by a media blitz comprising advertisements, innovative schemes and events, the campaign will be spread over the next six months.

"We are confident that Mr Dharmendra's association with the brand would further strengthen our initiatives in improving the lives of the truck owners and drivers who play a crucial role in shaping the economy of the country," he said.

The company is also planning to introduce innovative products including finance for reconditioned trucks, truck exchange programmes, tyre finance, working capital and engine replacement finance to provide value-added services to truck owners.

Other unique schemes include free mobile phones, credit cards for truck owners and loyalty reward programmes.
