Bush to take backup Air Force One to Indonesia
HO CHI MINH CITY, Nov 20: Air Force One has suffered a mechanical failure and President George W Bush will take a backup plane to Indonesia today, officials said. The president's blue and white jumbo jetliner is a distinctive part of his travel around the globe. The nature of the mechanical problem was unclear.
Officials said he would take a smaller, Boeing 757 Air Force jet to Indonesia. A backup support plane is a routine feature of presidential travel.
Bush is to fly to Jakarta later today after spending the day in Ho Chi Minh City.
