Search for PMK functionary on charges of murder

Chennai, Nov 20: Police are on look out for a PMK functionary for allegedly murdering his friend and MDMK functionary at suburb Porur here late last night.

Police said both the PMK functionary Senthil(30), a stunt master in cine field and Thenral (28), who was a MDMK functionary in Thiruvallur district, had drinks together last night.

After getting drunk, both began to quarrel over something and exchanged abuses.

In a fit of anger, Senthil attacked Thenral with a sickle killing him on the spot.

Police removed the body to Kilpauk Medical College for a post-mortem.

A search was on to nab Senthil, who escaped from the scene, police added.
