School teachers body to intensify agitation
Chennai, Nov 20 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Nursery, Primary, Matriculation and Higher Secondary Schools Association has decided to intensify its struggle during the next month if their demands were not met by the State Government.
Association General Secretary K R Nanda Kumar informed this to newsmen during a demonstration here today to draw the government's attention to the demands.
Later, he told newsmen the previous government increased the Road Tax for school vehicles from Rs 2,000 to Rs 36,000 and appealed to the present dispensation to revert to the old rate.
Mr Kumar said they were going to move the Supreme Court for an appeal against Madras High Court order on the issue.
