Puduchery CM submits Minister's resignation letter to Mithi

Puducherry, Nov 20 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today handed over the resignation letter of Social Welfare Minister P Angalan to Lt Governor Mukut Mithi.

Mr Rangasamy called on Mr Mithi at his office this evening to hand over the letter.

The Lt Governor will forward it to the Union Home Ministry for acceptance, following which, the Congress party would appoint a new minister in place of Mr Angalan.

Mr Angalan had earlier tendered his resignation on direction from party High Command, following a case of torturing his second wife was registered against him.
