Mumbai: 1 dead, 5 injured in separate accidents

Mumbai, Nov 20: A 15-year-old boy was killed and five others were injured in separate accidents here last night, police said today.

A group of youths was racing motorbike off Bandra-Worli flyover at around 2300 hrs. When police personnel reached the spot, they tried to run away in which one Sayyed Momin (15) dashed his motorbike into the central verge, resulting in his and pillion rider's injuries.

While both the injured were rushed to the Bhabha Hospital, Bandra, Momin succumbed to his injuries later.

In another accident, a car rammed into a hut at Mazagaon in south central Mumbai at 2300 hrs resulting in injuries to four people.

They were admitted to J J Hospital, the police said.

Police have registered a case of rash and negligence against the driver and investigations are on, they said.
