Neeraj abduction case: 3 accused killed in encounter
Allahabad, Nov 20 (UNI) The Special Operation Group (SOG) and Shankargarh police today gunned down three accused in Shivrajpur, who were allegedly involved in the abduction and murder of a businessman, Neeraj Agarwal.
Three country made pistols, a single barrel gun, nine live cartridges, a motorcycle, a few cell phones and some photographs of Neeraj were recovered from the spot.
Police said acting on a tip-off about the presence of some notorious criminals in the jungles of Shivrajpur, cops rushed to the spot and surrounded the area. On being challenged, they opened fire.
In cross firing, three hardened criminals identified as Anil Kumar Srivastava (Allahabad), Rama Shankar Tiwari (Kaushambi) and Munna Tiwari alias Raje (Chitrakoot) were shot dead.
City businessman Neeraj Agarwal was kidnapped on November 11, near ghoorpur while returning from his hotmix plant there.
Later, he was brutally murdered by the abductors on November 15.
Police recovered his body yesterday from a den in Chitrakoot and arrested three persons Arvind Pandey alias Babloo, Lavlesh Patel and Shiv Murat Tiwari in this connection.
