NEEA to establish a common market in NE
Aizawl, Nov 20 (UNI) The North Eastern Economic Association (NEEA) today decided to establish a common market for the North East region.
Talking to newsmen here, NEEA president and renowned economist Prof Atul Sarma said the association would organise an interaction with policy-makers, where they would explain people the need of a common market and its possible impacts on the economy of the region.
Lamenting upon the people's attitude regarding the factors affecting their life, Prof Sharma said, '' the NE people take everything too lightly, including development programmes and institutions.'' Upon the Centre's 'Look East' policy Prof Sarma said the efforts to build up a world-class hospital in Mizoram is a good initiative as it would contribute towards a vibrant economy in future.
