Lucknow, Nov 20 (UNI) Alleging the Congress was conspiring against his government, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today asked his party workers to launch a ''decisive battle'' against it to thwart its evil designs to dismiss his government and improse President's Rule in the state.

''We have convened a special workers' conference on November 25 next in which the partymen would be asked to come on streets to launch 'non-violent' agitation against the Congress designs,'' the UP CM and Samajwadi Party President said, in his address after inaugurating a new Haj House in the state capital.

''Ham Log Congress ki int se int baja denge (We will ruin the very foundation of the Congress),'' he asserted.

Taking strong exception to a recent statement of Congress President Sonia Gandhi in which she had made an adverse comment on the poor law and order situation and said the free and fair polls were not possible under Mulayam regime, Mr Yadav said that he dared the Congress party to dismiss his government and face the dire consequences.'' Reminding of the past , the SP President said just like socialist polity of Jai Prakash Narayan had shaken the Indira Gandhi-led Congress out of its soul, this time also the SP would prove to be Congress' nemesis in UP. ''We are confident of our policies and programmes and are prepared to take Congress head on,'' he added.

The CM also rubbished the allegations of misuse of central funds.

''Congress leaders who allege this are worried about the increasing popularity of the government...Government's are run on policies and good governance and not by the whims of a bully (Congress),'' he maintained.

The UPCC, meanwhile, said the CM was making charges against Congress keeping in mind the assembly elections. ''He is frustrated,'' a party spokesperson said.
