Lalu's horse sold at Sonepur cattle fair

Hajipur (Bihar), Nov 20: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad's favourite horse Pawan was sold at famous cattle fair in Sonepur in Vaishali district.

The favourite Pawan was on display for the past four days at the ongoing Sonepur cattle fair with a price tag of Rs 1.50 lakh.

Pawan known to understand only English commands-- stand up, sit down, go faster, other than few Bhojpuri words, was cynosure of buyers but its prohibiting price was the reason behind many of them developing a cold feet.

Baleshwar Rai, a resident of Bidupur police station area in Vaishali district, finally purchased Pawan at Rs 1.1O lakh today but it could remain under his possession for only few hours.

Later Mr Rai sold the wonder horse to JD (U) MLA from Mokama Anant Singh at a higher price.
