Hizbul Mujahideen militant killed in Udhampur

Jammu, Nov 20: Security forces today gunned down a hardcore Hizbul Mujahideen militant at Sangaldan in gool area in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here.

The sources said Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir police (JKP), on a tip-off, launched an operation in Sangaldan at 0500 hrs this morning.

The sources said security forces killed the militant, who was later identified as Anwaar alias Zakir, during the encounter.
