Hindu groups stop Delhi-bound vehicle carrying cows
Phagwara, Nov 20 (UNI) Activists of various Hindu organisations stopped a vehicle here loaded with 14 cows, allegedly being taken from Beas village to Delhi for slaughtering.
The activists held noisy demonstration near sugar mill chowk and blocked traffic for some time after nabbing three persons -- Abrahim of Ludhiana, Dalal Singh of Sonepat and Phool Raj of village Thana Kalan in Haryana.
They were later handed over to local police.
Last week also several Hindu activists had rescued nine cows in the town allegedly on way to a slaughter house.
