Hearing on NPSC selection tomorrow

Kohima, Nov 20: The Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court today called for a hearing on the controversial selection of lecturers by the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) in 2004.

A few candidates informed the newsmen here that their selection, which had been kept in abeyance, was long pending.

The NPSC had selected 71 candidates for the lecturers post, but the selection of twenty-four candidates were later kept in abeyance due to the court's stay order after some contract appointees filed petitions in this regard.
