Gunmen attack Iraq deputy minister, two guards dead
BAGHDAD, Nov 20 (Reuters) Gunmen attacked the convoy of an Iraqi deputy health minister today, killing two of his guards, but the minister was unhurt, he told Reuters.
Hakim al-Zamily was the second Health Ministry official to be targeted in two days. Another deputy health minister was seized from his home by men in uniform yesterday.
''The convoy was blocked off by several cars and we were fired upon from within the cars and the area,'' Zamily told Reuters. ''Two of my guards were killed but we were able to fight our way out and escape.'' REUTERS AB BST1656
