Governor appoints VCs for universities

Patna, Nov 20 (UNI) The Bihar Governor today appointed new vice chancellors (VCs) for six universities in the state.

Official sources said that Dr Prema Jha has been appointed as VC of Tilak Manjhi University, Bhagalpur, while Dr Virendra Nath Pandey took charge of as VC of Magadh University.

Earlier Dr Jha was head of the English department in Bihar University while Dr Pandey was head of Political Science Department at LMD college in Motihari.

Dr Rampal Singh, former professor of Physics department of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has been appointed as VC of Veer Kunwar Singh University, Arra while former VC of BHU Dr Yedla C.Simhadri has meen made VC of Patna University. Dr Kamal Hasan, registrar of M M M H Persian-Arabic University, Patna has been appointed as VC of B N Mandal University, Madhepura. Dr Mishri Lal Thakur of Physics Department of Tilak Manjhi university has been made VC of L N Mithila University, Darbhanga.
