Fake passport to terrorist: 5 persons remanded

Kozhikode, Nov 20 (UNI) A local court here today remanded five persons, including two cops, to police custody for further 14 days for allegedly helping a suspected Pakistani terrorist procure an Indian Passport.

Kunnamangalam Judicial First Class Magistrate K T Nizar issued the order remanding Assistant Sub-Inspector Mohammeadli, Head Constable Alavi, Postman Abdul Latheef and travel agents Rehmatullah and Afzal to police custody till December four.

They were arrested two weeks ago for allegedly helping Al-Badr Terrorist Mohammad Fahad to get a passport by diluting security norms, including verifications.

Fahad was arrested along with another militant in Mysore on October 26 while plotting to blow up Karnataka Vidhan Sabha building at Bangalore.
