DVAC raids Sub-Registrar's office in TN, seizes tainted money

Kancheepuram, Nov 20 (UNI) Officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC) today raided the Sub-Registrar's office here and seized Rs 16,670 in 'tainted' money.

Official sources said here this evening, a DVAC team conducted the raid and seized the money and some documents. They will later hold a inquiry with Sub Registrar Shanbagavalli.

The Sub-Registrar Office earned Rs 2.5 lakh income by transacting 50 property registrations today, they said and added the raids continued for over two hours.
