Dismissed executive engineer threatens to burn himself

Hazaribagh, Nov 20 (UNI) An Executive Engineer who was dismissed from the Hazaribagh Mines Board last year has threatened to burn himself tomorrow in front of the Board's headquarters here.

Pawan Singh in a letter to the President and the Prime Minister said that the then chairman of mines Ramesh Singh along with his secretary had dismissed him under false charges on October 28 last year.

He said besides his dismissal, he had not received his salary from October 5, 1993.

When contacted, the present Chairman of the Mines Board and JD(U) MLA Khiru Mahto here said Mr Singh's case was being inquired and he would definately get justice.

Mr Mahto said efforts had been made to convince Mr Singh but he was rigid on his stand. He stated that the district administration had been informed about the matter and it was the administration' duty to take preventive measures.
