CSMBS condemns KMC's decision

Kolkata, Nov 20 (UNI) The College Street Market Byaboshayee Samity (CSMBS) today condemned the Kolkata Municipal Corporation(KMC)'s decision of setting up new premises at this market.

''We are not against the development of the market and Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had already laid the foundation stone. A committee had been set up, headed by noted economist Amartya Sen, and developers. But CSMBS representatives are not in the committee,'' CSMBS president Bimal Kumar Nag told newsmen here.

A committee should be set up with developers, CSMBS members and KMC representatives for the new market complex, he demands.
