College girl killed, nine injured

Tiruchirapalli, Nov 20 (UNI) A 19-year-old college girl was killed on the spot and nine others injured, when a private bus in which they were travelling, collided with a truck at Valanadu, near here today.

Police said the bus was going to Madurai from Tiruchirapalli while the truck was coming from Tuticorin when the mishap occurred.

The deceased was identified as S Sabitha, daughter of a retired police official hailing from Madurai.

The injured were admitted to a private hospital here.
