Bomb scare on Delhi-bound Ashram Express turns out to be hoax
Ahmedabad, Nov 20 (UNI) A bomb scare that delayed the New Delhi-bound Ashram Express for over two hours today, turned out to be a hoax.
Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs were pressed into service and nothing was recovered, said a railway spokesperson.
The train finally left Ahmedabad station at 1956 hrs, two hours and eleven minutes behind schedule.
He said the GRP first got a call, informing that a bomb had been planted on the train. All the coaches were thoroughly searched after the passengers were asked to alight from the train, he added.
