Bandh observed in Morena

Morena, MP, Nov 20 (UNI) A bandh was today observed in Morena district in response to a call given by Gurjar community to protest against the killing of five members by dacoit Gadaria gang about a fortnight back.

Besides private and government educational institutes, shops and business establishments remained closed crippling normal life.

A memorandum was submitted to the district administration by Gurjar Samaj led by Gurjar Samaj Organisation's State President Virendra Hardhana and Block Panchayat President Bhursingh Kanshana.

The memorandum demanded providing Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to family members of the deceased, providing license for possessing weapons to members of Gurjar community in the area and immediate release of two people of the community abducted last fortnight.
